I have recently finished the book “Xenophobe´s Guide to the Germans”. Thanks to my colleague to give it as a gift. Including funny aspects, behaviours, characteristics of Germans from a German perspective. I highlighted 5 statements that I found quite interesting and would like to share with you.
All Wessies (former West Germans) know that all Ossies (former East Germans) are idle and complaining. All Ossies know that all Wessies are cynical and deceitful.
No phrase warms the heart of a German like ´alles in Ordnung´, meaning everything is all right, everything is as it should be. The categorical imperative which no German escapes is ´Ordnung muss sein´ - Order must be.
German society as a whole is not well disposed towards children. In public your dog will usually get a warmer welcome than your offspring.
One reason German beer is of such high quality is the German Beer Purity Regulation, laid down in 1516 and unaltered since, which states that only water, hops, malt andyeast may go into beer.
Occasional after-hours jollies have to be put up with, but mixing socially with your workmates is fairly uncommon. Office “do´s” are pretty formal events.

A friend recently shared a video with me called Muslim Demographics, has been watched over 10 million times. Showing some statistical stats, you can expect it to be a math-based objective video. But unfortunately it’s bullshit. First of all, with some statements like “Wake up”, it encourages non-Muslims to stand against -somehow- this rapid increase. Second, what kind of discrimination it is to group people as “Islamic Immigrants”. Third, using some statements of fascist politicians is not the best way to prove an idea, I guess. Fourth, where is the creativity using a “Turkish-like” flag as a symbol of Islamic immigrants. Fifth, people must see that the terms “globalization” - “internationalisation” are just created for some economical growth needs. Nothing more at all. It’s just an example, there are millions of these kind of provacative videos which gangs of sheeps follow and concede. Feel sorry.
Sene 90 ların sonları, Kayseri’deyim o zamanlar. Özellikle ev hanımlarının ve “mantıcı teyzeler” in akın ettiği şube üstüne şube açan çok başarılı bir girişim var, ağızdan ağıza dolanıyor bayanlar arasında, adı Onur Parçacısı olarak geçiyor. Dev sepetler içerisinde maliyeti fiyatına satılan donlar, sütyenler, tişörtler, entariler, ev aletleri, vs.vs. Ne ararsan var cinsinden. Sıklıkla mağazalarını güncelliyorlar. Yepyeni ürünler, hiçbir yerde bulamayacağınız fiyatlara..Bayanlar sepetleri eşeliyor, birbirlerine fırlatıyor, bağrışmalar havada uçuşuyor. O zamanlar sadece isminden dolayı sempati duyduğum bu ucuz mağazalar zincirini, şimdi üzerinde kafa yorunca Kayseri evhanımlarına özgü çok zekice bir girişim olarak değerlendiriyorum. Umarım işleri iyi gitmiştir, zinciri büyütmüşlerdir. Kayseri’ye gitmeyeli de yıllar oldu.
